Sherri Smith Music

Singer-songwriter, Sherri L Smith (sherrismithmusic), grew up with music being an intrinsic part of her life. Sherri has turned her passion into performing original songs and covers on her guitar, looper and vocal harmonizer.
 

Sherri Smith's songwriting transcends genres and styles, while expressing emotion and story telling. On her EP / CD "Where Mountains Speak" the music ranges from Folk to Country to Jazzy to Ballad and Sea Shanty, but the one thing they all have in common is they tell a story or present a message.  She released an online only Christmas album "Christmas Strings and Things" in 2024, and continues to release more originals.  Sherri also hosts the radio program "Home Grown Music of the Comox Valley" on CVOX.ca that features local musicians of original music monthly.

 

​Sherri's performances range from straight up guitar and vocals to a more full sound using guitar effect pedals, looper and vocal harmonizer to captivate her audience.  She has performed at festivals such as Comox Nautical Days and Texada Island Blues and Roots. Sherri can be found performing at venues around the Comox Valley, on Texada Island and on her Twitch.tv program (re-broadcast to YouTube). ​​
